I Need Something to Change Your MInd

This week’s featured Sydney Contemporary artist is Patrick Dagg. Dagg will make his third Sydney Contemporary appearance in 2021, exhibiting bold mixed media and neon works that continue the artist’s investigation into mark-making. Merging the Dagg’s interests in politics, graffiti, art history and personal symbolism, his works are a collage of smaller drawings and paintings. Speaking to his latest body of work, Dagg notes:

“Ideas of value and taste preoccupy my thoughts, with the use of neon tubing a further extension, pushing what is acceptable within the accepted understanding of the painted surface.”

To pre-register for a PDF Catalogue of Patrick Dagg’s Sydney Contemporary works, please DM or email info@jamesmakingallery.com

Sydney Contemporary runs from 9-12 September.
