A Sydney-based artist, Antonia Perricone-Mrljak works directly and intuitively through a primal line. Raw, honest and direct she creates harmony in her expansive paintings through the layering of colour and form. The relationship between abstract shapes is critical to her practice.
Mrljak is represented in numerous public and private collections, and in 2019 presented a monumental live performance, Align in Silence, as a part of Sydney Contemporary’s Installation contemporary during which the artist produced a 6 x 6m painting on site.
To launch Mrljak’s representation with the gallery we are pleased to present a suite of new works by the artist, opening next Friday 11 December, with a major solo exhibition to follow in 2021.
