The Lake Hindmarsh Project

The Lake Hindmarsh Project brings a group of professional artists working together to create a body of works (painting, print-making, photography, video, sculpture, music) in response to the landscape and environment of Lake Hindmarsh and the nearby community of Jeparit in North West Victoria. The project is an initiative of Altitude Art, an artist group with whom an affinity with the land is of primary concern.

Featuring James Makin Gallery represented artists Dagmar Cyrulla, Mitch McAuley and Martin King (whose image “Nest” is pictured here), along with Anthony Pelchen, John Thorn, Jay Watson. Curated by Sheridan Palmer.

Exhibition Dates: 16th – 26th February, 2011

Gipps Street Gallery – 27 Gipps St, Richmond Melbourne
