EOLO PAUL BOTTARO Finalist in 3 Prestigous Art Awards

Congratulations to Eolo Paul Bottaro who has been shortlisted for three prestigious contemporary art awards in the disciplines of Painting, Drawing and Sculpture.

Bottaro’s incredible painting “Expulsion” (oil, egg tempera and gold leaf on linen, 220 x 191 cm) has been chosen from numerous entries for the Kilgour Prize 2010. This biennial award is held at Newcastle Region Art Gallery and includes a prize of $50,000 for the winning work.

Bottaro has also been recently selected for the Rick Amor Small Drawing Prize 2010 which is currently on display at Ballarat Art Gallery, and the Deakin University Contemporary Small Sculpture Award 2010 with a fantastic bronze sculpture.

In March 2011 Bottaro will be having a major solo exhibition at James Makin Gallery. Stay tuned for more details.
