Eolo Paul Bottaro and painting within the NGV

Eolo Paul Bottaro is featured on the front page of The Age newspaper today.

His passionate interest in creating opportunities for artists to engage with the National Gallery of Victoria’s collection has led him to create an online petition to help facilitate artists to paint at the NGV with ease, as many major international museums readily allow.

Dedicated to the craftsmanship of painting, Bottaro frequently interprets the compositions of historical artworks in the creation of his narrative, figurative paintings in order to reflect his own contemporary concerns.

There is an online petition which can be viewed at the web address below:

The work featured in the article ‘Pactolus’ and other works by Bottaro will be featured at the James Makin Gallery stand at the Melbourne Art Fair 2012.
