Robert Malherbe finalist in The Archibald Prize and The Wynne Prize 2010

Congratulations to Robert Malherbe, who has been selected in this years hotly contested Archibald Prize and Wynne Prize. These awards are amongst the most well known and sought after prizes in Australia, and it is a fantastic achievement to be selected from the hundreds of entries that apply every year for each prize.

For the Archibald Prize, Robert has painted fellow artist Luke Sciberras who is also represented by James Makin Gallery. This stunning work, titled “The Squire – portrait of Luke Sciberras” is pictured here. Both the Archibald and Wynne prizes will be on display at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, until May 30, 2010.

A selection Robert Malherbe’s paintings will feature in the upcoming “Autumn Collection” exhibition at James Makin Gallery.
